Shayeon proposed to Emilia right in the middle of their salsa dance performance. “Will you be my wife and dance with me at our wedding?” he asked. She can’t wait to honor his wish. Congrats to the happy couple!
“We like to try different things on the weekends, things that we normally wouldn’t do,” says Emilia. “Broadway plays, zip lining, ice skating, horseback riding and random road trip are just a few activities we end up getting into on our weekend adventures.”
High school sweethearts always have the sweetest love stories. “Back when we were in college I remembered getting my first apartment and having a hard time with everything, but he was there for me every step of the way,” says the bride-to-be. “Then I knew he was the one for me. He helps me out in whichever way he can and loves me no matter what.”
“My friends love him,” says Emilia. “Actually, they like him better than me! (Laughs)”
“He loves me unconditionally and respects me as his better half,” says Emilia.
As Shayeon proposed, Emilia just kept thinking to herself, oh my God it’s finally happening!
Shayeon gave his wife-to-be a stunning Neil Lane sparkler when he proposed.
“Im the yin to his yang, we balance each other out,” says the bride-to-be.
“Emilia makes me feel happier, safer and more relaxed all from simply being close to her,” says the happy groom-to-be. “She is always very sensible and to a person that can go from zero to 100 when provoked that means everything. She keeps me grounded and brings me back to reality. Emilia loves me without condition and for that I will always give her the best that I’ve got.”
“When we met, we were young and “the One’ was not on my mind at age 15,” admits Shayeon. “Eventually when I matured and begin to figure out what I wanted in life it was clear to see how perfectly she aligned and I could not be more elated about our journey together.”
“Road tripping is my favorite thing to do with my bride-to-be,” says Shayeon. “The shenanigans we find ourselves in are always something to talk about.”
“Loving her came natural because it was organic, nothing forced,” shares the groom. “Everything was all on our terms and that is something I will always and forever love her for.”
“At first my parents didn’t think it was serious because we were so young but now he’s like the son they never had,” Emilia tells us.
The couple plan to embark on a romantic and tropical honeymoon in Aruba.
“I most look forward to building a family and seeing everything that we have worked for come into fruition,” Shayeon shares. “Growing old with the person you were destined for.”
“Emilia is strong willed, hardworking, loyal and can throw down in the kitchen,” says Shayeon. “After interacting with her family I can see where she gets it from.”
