Claire and Antonio met their freshman year at Howard University.
“We’ve always had a faithful Friday night date night with our busy schedules,” says Claire.
The couple’s love story began here, so it was only fitting that they head back to school for this romantic photo shoot.
“One of the things I love about us is that we always try our best to make time for each other,” says Claire. “We often do pizza and a movie nights which we both really enjoy.”

“The proposal was very innovative, and thoughtful, which just reminded me of why I love him,” says Claire.

“I think the most exciting part about being engaged is sharing our excitement with our family and friends,” says Claire.
“Planning a wedding has been going well so far,” says Claire. “It’s difficult with our busy schedules and planning a wedding in another city, but we have a great planner, which helps.”

when Claire’s medical school load weighed her down Antonio always offered a helping hand. He once a took a day off from work to take her dog to the vet because she had a test that day.

“When I first met her, I thought she was a very pretty girl with big pretty eyes and a beautiful smile to match,” Antonio tells us.

“When I first met Antonio, I thought he was cute and funny,” says Claire. “He was very genuine and he wasn’t trying to be anyone but himself. He was a very likeable guy.”
“One of our favorite memories together is our engagement party,” says Claire. “We had a great time and it was the first time our extended families had met each other. Everyone ended up laughing and dancing all night.”
