McDreamy, move over!
We went nuts at the office when we heard actor Jesse Williams had been added to the cast of ABC’s hot show “Grey’s Anatomy” as a hot surgeon. We’re sure you’ll be tuning in tonight to catch him, but in the meantime, use these photos of the Hollywood hearthrob to hold you over.

Williams often pulls 12-hour days on the Los Angeles set where he’s currently taping “Grey’s Anatomy.” “I’m here from 6 A.M. to 6 P.M., sometimes later,” he says. “It’s not so bad because we’re staying busy.”
He uses sports to keep his buff body in peak condition. “I’m in a football league and I play soccer with some homies when I can,” says Williams, who played lacrosse in high school. “I like to compete and use energy.”
“Dr James Avery is more cavalier than I am,” says Williams of his character on “Grey’s Anatomy.” He’s probably a little bolder too."
Williams isn’t a big fan of auditioning, but for “Grey’s Anatomy” it was a breeze. “I got the audition information at 7 P.M. on my birthday (August 5),” he recounts. “Then went in the next morning and read for it even though I didn’t know what part I was reading for. Five days later, I heard I got the job.”
No doubt that Williams’s subdued swagger landed him his fiancee, who he met when he lived in Brooklyn. The happy couple have since moved to L.A. and are trying to determine a date for their wedding.
Before he hit the big screen, Williams was up for a role as Meadow Soprano’s boyfriend on HBO. “I tested for the part, but obviously the other guy got it,” he says. “I was a dred from Philly with hair down my back. It worked out for the best. They would have wanted me to cut my hair for the part.”
Williams is still mulling over his ideal acting role, but he knows that he likes variety. “I want to always be doing something different and learning and growing and not getting stuck,” he says.
Although he’s been on screens both big and small, Williams isn’t a movie junkie. He doesn’t watch his favorites on repeat, but he does enjoy “Do the Right Thing” (he calls it “a great American movie”) and almost anything on HBO. “Deadwood” was my favorite TV series ever," he says.
