Singer Cassie and celebrity trainer Alex Fine just announced they are expecting a baby girl, and Cassie’s ex Diddy has nothing but kind words for the couple.
Cassie and Diddy, who dated for over a decade before splitting up in October 2018, have remained amicable since their split. Now that Cassie and her new man are starting a family of their own, Diddy had only positive things to say. “Congratulations Cassie and Alex,” the music mogul captioned a photo of the couple from their recent photoshoot. “I wish you all nothing but love and happiness. God bless. LOVE”
Cassie and Diddy, who have been romantically linked since at least 2007, first went public with their relationship in 2012. Reps would not give details on the reason behind the breakup, but said “the decision was amicable and they remain friends.”
Cassie lent support to her ex in November 2018 after the untimely death of Kim Porter. She also paid her respects to Porter in a touching Instagram post. “There are no words…. An amazing mother to her beautiful family lit up every room she entered and now the most beautiful angel. Sending so much love and my condolences to the Porter and Combs family,” Cassie, 32, captioned a black-and-white portrait of Porter. “I love you @quincy, @kingcombs, Jessie, D’Lila, Chance, @princejdc and @diddy.”
