On Sunday’s episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Bailey strikes up a conversation with her daughter during a drive, and the conversation steers towards Robinson’s dating life at Howard University. “You didn’t meet anyone during your college experience?” Bailey inquires. “When I helped you move in, I saw a lot of cute guys.”
Noelle responds, “I definitely ended up meeting a couple of girls that I thought were cool in a romantic aspect.”
When asked by her mom if she likes both guys and girls, Robinson explains that its not so black and white. “People try and box everybody in and put labels on everything, but I don’t really do that… there’s a lot of attractive guys and there’s a lot of attractive girls,” adding, “It really just came out of nowhere a little bit. I just wasn’t really expecting that to happen.”
In a confessional interview, Bailey made it clear she welcomes her daughter’s sexual identity with open arms. “We all love and support Noelle,” says the former supermodel. “It’s just new for us. So we’re just trying to get used to it. It makes me excited that Noelle feels like she has a safe space to share. With World Pride right around the corner, I think this is the perfect time for me and Noelle to show out and celebrate because love is love.”
Towards the end of the clip, Bailey reassures her daughter that no matter she chooses to date, she has her mom’s full support. “I just want you to be happy, Noelle,” she said. “If you meet an amazing young lady, that’s a blessing. If you meet an amazing young man, that’s a blessing as long as they’re good people and they love and support you.”
In an exclusive interview with ESSENCE, Bailey gave us the update that she and Noelle have since relocated to the west coast. “Noelle has decided to spend more time in L.A. to pursue her acting career, and she [moved in with Mike] to see if this is what she wants to do,” Bailey said. “We have a great blended family relationship. He has a great relationship with Noelle’s dad. We all are a part of Noelle’s life, and we all have something to offer. I love it.”
