These Famous Couples Got Married In 2017

In October, Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane and the love of his life Keyshia Ka’oir made things official in an icy wedding that was warm with their love! The couple tied the knot live on a BET special devoted to their wedding called The Mane Event and the grant affair was just that. From celebrity guests like Monica, Diddy, 2 Chainz, Big Sean and Jhene Aiko. The all white event was definitely one to watch! 

Tasha Cobbs and music producer Kenneth Leonard have said “I do!” The “Break Every Chain” Grammy winning Gospel singer and Leonard swapped vows over the weekend in the presence of family and friends.  According to Atlanta radio station, V-103, guests thought they were attending a private dinner party but much to their surprise, they were actually witnesses to a very special union. 

In April, polarizing celeb Omarosa Manigault tied the knot to pastor John Allen Newman at the Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C. While we’re sure that the big day was full of all the bride’s dreams–one wish didn’t go off without a hitch. When the 43-year-old Trump aide didn’t give heads up to senior aides and officials that she wanted to take pictures with her 39-person bridal party on the White House grounds including the Rose Garden and throughout the West Wing, she was swiftly denied. 

After being together for 23 years, RuPaul revealed that he and his longtime partner, Georges LeBar, got married in January on their anniversary. The famed star said the two met on the dancefloor on LeBar’s birthday and have been separable every since. “I met him on the dance floor at Limelight in 1994 on his birthday,” RuPaul told Hollywood Today Live. “We got married on his birthday, on the anniversary of the night we met.

The former Game of Thrones star and Cosby Show alum have been together since 2005 and while many believed that they had already tied the knot, in a surprise to the public, the two wed in an intimate ceremony in November. We’re so happy for these two!

In February, singer Tyrese announced that he’d found a sweet lady for life in his wife, Samantha Lee. On Instagram, the Fast and the Furious franchise actor shared the news that he and his new Mrs. tied the knot on Valentine’s Day. The couple had a bumpy start to married life as Tyrese endured an up and down custody battle with his ex-wife Norma over their daughter Shayla. Fortunately, Lee was by her husband’s side for better or worse throughout the whole ordeal. 

The wedding bells rung once again for Stevie Wonder in July when he wed Tomeeka Bracy. The 67-year-old and the mother of two of his nine children tied the knot in a Los Angeles ceremony that was full of celebrity guests like john Legend, Babyface, Pharrell and Usher who all offered their well wishes to the happy bride and groom!

In June, Kenya Moore walked down the aisle in a surprise to everyone! The Real Housewives of Atlanta star wed Brooklyn restaurant owner Marc Daly in a ceremony in St. Lucia after seven months of dating. Since tying the knot, Moore tried to keep her husband’s identity under wraps but introduced her groom to the world via Instagram. Although Daly isn’t a fan of Moore’s reality show lifestyle, the two seem like the perfect pair. Here’s to a lifetime of happiness!

Serena Williams proved that she could do it all in 2017–win her 23rd Grand Slam, give birth to her daughter Alexis Olympia and walk down the aisle in a fairy tale Beauty and the Beast wedding to Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian. The couple’s New Orleans nuptials were attended by many of the tennis stars celebrity friends including Ciara, La La, Kelly Rowland, Beyoncé and more. The newlyweds were even blessed with a performance from New Edition members Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins, Ronnie DeVoe, Johnny Gill and Ralph Tresvant. To say this wedding was lit is an understatement!

MC Lyte is married now! The hip-hop icon wed Marine Corp veteran and entrepreneur John Wyche in a gorgeous Montego Bay, Jamaica ceremony over the summer. The two met online and in January, the star announced her happy relationship on Instagram. We’re so happy that Lyte has found a forever love!

LeToya Luckett is a wife! The former Destiny’s Child singer tied the knot to Dallas entrepreneur Tommicus Walker in December in the wedding of her dreams. Luckett revealed exclusively after Walker popped the question at a surprise birthday dinner she planned for him in August that she and her now husband met through a mutual friend and instanly shared a connection. So sweet!
