Invest Wisely!

Relationships are wonderful, but being single has it’s perks too. Here are ten ways to treat yourself before you fall in love.

Hit the Gym

This ain’t Kanye’s workout plan, this is all about achieving the #BodyGoals that you’ve been dying for. Don’t do it for anyone but yourself. Watch your happiness rise as the pounds fall.

Get That Money Up, Girl!

Nothing beats stacking your coins and beefing up your savings account. Put yourself on a budget each week and try hard to stick to it. At the end of the week, put what you don’t spend into your savings and see how your money grows.

Collect your own passport stamps
Solo trips are having a moment and there is no time like the present to take advantage of your single status. Book a trip to somewhere you’ve always wanted to go—whether close to home or far away. Stay a weekend or a whole two weeks and just explore! You’ll learn things about yourself you could never imagine.

Build Your Wine Collection

At the end of a long work day nothing beats a good glass of wine (or two)! While living your best single life, invest in some high end bottles for your home collecttion. Visit a winery and ask about some timeless tastes that age wonderfully. Start collecting a few bottles that pair nicely with different foods and break out a good grape when you need it.

Self-Love Yourself

There is nothing wrong with a little self satisfaction. Get yourself a good, trusty vibrator and put it to good use because no man knows his way around down there better than you do.

07
Bless Your Closet

Sex in the City’s Carrie Bradshaw once said, “I like my money right where I can see it…hanging in my closet,” and the idea is genius. Treat yourself the dress you’ve been eyeing, or better yet, a divine pair of shoes. Purchase the perfect pump that’s timeless and classy that you can wear for years and years to come. Splurge if you can and give your closet a great new piece to hold on to.

Mama Has Got to Get Herself a Brand New (Statement) Bag

Just like with those shoes, get yourself a handbag that is to die for. Something that can go with everything, can be dressed up or down. Why? We say, why not?

09
Cross something off your bucket list

Time to do something you’ve never done before but have always wanted to do. Always want to train for a marathon? Learn a new language? Walk with sharks? Do it! Take a leap of faith and check it off your bucket list. Just like a solo trip, it’ll teach you about your own strength and endurance and be a memory of something you did without having to depend on anyone but yourself.

Get nose deep into a new book

Read a new book every week. Try different genres and authors. Scribble in the margins and highlight your favorite quotes. Cry and laugh. Scream and shout. Checkout book signings and live readings. Maybe you’ll discover a new favorite and go down the rabbit hole of wonderful reads.

Continue Your Education

Go back to school. That’s right, back to school. Get a masters degree or a PhD, Visit your local college and check out a class that you didn’t take while you were in school. Try an e-course or follow-up on a favorite class from the past. It’s never too late for some higher learning.
