When Kanye West married Kim Kardashian in May 2014 in a lavish ceremony in Florence, Italy, his good friend JAY-Z and his wife, Beyoncé, were noticeably absent from the big day's festivities.
It became a sour spot for the groom, and as he late implied, became one of the reasons they're now estranged.
"I was hurt about them not coming to the wedding. I understand they were going through some things, but if it's family, you're not going to miss a wedding," West told Charlamagne tha God in an interview in May. "I gotta state my truth."
While there has been much speculation as to exactly why the Carters weren't there, judging from the lyrics on their new joint album, Everything Is Love, the couple has finally set the record straight.
"I ain’t going to nobody nothing when me and my wife beefing. I don’t care if the house on fire, I ain’t leaving. Ty Ty take care of my kids after he done grieving. If y’all don’t understand that, we ain’t meant to be friends," JAY-Z raps on "Friends".
Beyoncé famously dropped a kissy-faced selfie on the day of the wedding which sent the Beyhive and the internet into a frenzy over what it meant, until of course, she congratulated the pair on tying the knot.
During the interview, Kanye also explained that their is no more bad blood betweem him and Hov and theyve moved on.
"We good," he said. "We texting each other, positive energy."
Well, that's that, people.
