Chavez coordinated with two of Reneeé's best friends to pull off the perfect proposal plan that involved an agent, a strip club, and her parent's house!
"Once we arrived at my parent's house I got out of the car, walked inside and there he was...surrounded rose petals and candles in a shape of a heart bended on one knee. Family and friends in the background with soft music playing. At that moment he asked me to be his wife, and of course, I said yes!"

"It felt great," said Chavez. "Although I was mainly concerned about my bride enjoying her day, I enjoyed it as well. It was a great experience and I had a lot of fun. It wasn't something I expected so soon, but when the day came and was honored and wouldn't trade the feeling for the world."

For her big day, the bride didn't really stick with the tradition of doing something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue.
"I did not stick to the tradition," she admitted. "Honestly, I forgot all about that! However, my garter was light blue."

"There wasn't an exact moment when I knew Chavez was 'The One,' Reneé said. "That feeling came over time. When Chavez & I met when I was in college attending Florida A & M University in Tallahassee, Florida. Once a month Chavez would either drive 6 hours or hop on a plane just to visit me. He made that commute for almost 2 years until I graduated in May 2014. I knew we had something very special. So patient, so kind, so understanding and for that I loved him."

We connected on all levels, I felt comfortable spending time with her. I never felt like I had to portray something I wasn't, is just who I was felt like it was enough and she accepted me. I also never felt like she was being anything other than herself. That spoke to our connection and it became clear to me."

"I wanted a very simple cake," said the bride. "Nothing extravagant at all. The cake was round and four tiers. The icing was light pink with gold ribbons at the base of each tier. Roman numerals of our wedding date in gold decorated the third tier. 2 tiers of were vanilla & the other 2 were red velvet."
