“He knew I was the one six months into our relationship, but it was confirmed when I supported him when his close friend passed away due to cancer.”
A romantic rendezvous in the water shows a more intimate side of Chi-Chi and Ifeanyi’s love.
The gorgeous couple had been together for 5 and half years when Ifeanyi popped the question.
Ifeanyi and Chi-Chi are both Nigerian and share lots in common. It turns out their father’s were old friends and when they met they were both students at Hampton University.
The bride-to-be looks stunning in her Traditional Nigerian garb.
“We enjoy watching sports together, eating at different cultural restaurants and going to the movies,” says Chi-Chi.
“In our culture, we have two weddings so [we’re] planning two weddings that will take place within two days of each other so it can be quite overwhelming.”
The couple poses for a perfect portrait, snapped to perfection by wedding photographer Keith Cephus.
Ifeanyi is clearly head over heels for his bride-to-be Chi-Chi.
The most exciting part about being engaged is “knowing that we are one step closer to being married,” says Chi-Chi.
This beautiful black and white photo captures their love in classic form.
After the proposal, Ifeanyi took pictures of the ring and sent it to her friends.
“When we first met, we were relieved that the way we looked on Facebook is how we look in person!”
The night they met they spoke from 10pm to 8am, and found out their families were teenage friends.
