Sarah and William return to the classroom on Morehouse’s campus where they first met and fell in love.
Sarah and William flash big smiles as they reminisce about the sweet beginnings of their love story.
When Sarah and William walked into African-American literature in the summer of 2005 they had no ideas they’d really be getting the ultimate lesson in love.
William’s been wooing his ladylove Sarah since fate put them in the same study group.
Looking good and so in love — Sarah and William look like an ad for happiness.
William shows off his Omega Psi Phi sign as he and his fiance Sarah pose in the Morehouse College parking deck.
“I distinctly remember when I first saw William. He walked into our class in the middle of July (we were in Georgia) with gold boots and denim shorts. I remember slightly rolling my eyes and thinking, he had to be hot. As the weeks went on and I had more interactions with him during our group study sessions, I was drawn to his amazing smile and sense of humor.
“I enjoyed his company, but I didn’t initially think of him as a potential partner. He was the poster child for his fraternity and loved to party; that was not really my thing. It quickly became evident, however, that despite our different personalities, something about us just clicked.”
These two sure know how to pose to perfection — spotted here on the Spelman College Campus.
“One of my favorite moments with Sarah was the time we spent in South Africa during the 2010 World Cup. Our experience ranged from the bustling streets of Johannesburg to the meek pastures of the Karoo. Its always amazing to share new experiences with those close to you, but it was especially moving that my wife to be and I were able to share the experience together.”
Who knew a college campus could make such a great backdrop for a photo shoot? Absolutely love!

“My mother always told me to marry someone who I would like my future sons to embody and whose characteristics I would want my future daughters to look for in a mate. William is that person. He is fun, yet extremely kind. He has a certain peacefulness about him that rubs off on everyone around him.”
Sarah and William hold hands on campus just like they did back when they were students there.
“At one point, I realized that I was a better person with him than without him,” says Sarah. “To me, that is true compatibility.”
With Sarah, everything seemed to work itself out. She’s beautiful, extremely intelligent and driven. It’s amazing to see the positive change that has occurred in my life since Sarah and I began our relationship. She possesses all of the qualities I believe a wife, mother and friend should have. I understood she was the “prototype” early on. I’d asked God for someone special and it was beginning to become clear that she was the answer to that prayer.
“Our families love each others company and the two of us feel comfortable spending time with either set. Its gotten to the point where Sarah spends time with my family when I’m not around. I have a very close knit family and their support was extremely important to me.”
“I moved to Vermont to start law school and was forced to leave Sarah behind in Atlanta. The time spent apart forced a stronger relationship, as we had to love each other without being able to be physically connected to one another.”
Sarah and William are all smiles as they happily await their upcoming wedding day.
