The night Charlie decided to go see a local play he could never have imagined he’d be watching his future wife perform. After spotting Jamira on stage, he just knew there was something super special about her. She saw him too, but they missed their chance to connect after the show. He went home and sent her a Facebook friend request, which she happily accepted. This summer, they’re making it official in Los Angeles, and to celebrate, they staged an unforgettbale America’s Most Wanted themed engagement shoot. See their amazing photos, here!
“Charlie is the best man for me because he puts God first,” insists Jamira.
“Charlie makes me feel beautiful and special,” says the bride-to-be. “He encourages and comforts me when I need it. He treats me like a lady. “
Uh-oh. It looks like the soon-to-be-weds are up to no good and the cops are on their tail.
Charlie carefully planned his proposal to Jamira, which he gave before their entire congregation, but admits he was still nervous about messing up his speech.
“I’m looking forward to letting God use our marriage as an example of His love towards us,” says Charlie. “I look forward to growing each day with her and being the best husband that I can be for her.”
“As Charlie was proposing, I just kept thinking, oh my goodness, is this happening?’” says Jamira. “Wow! Oh my goodness. That’s all I kept saying over and over again. I was in pure shock because it was actually happening.”
“Boy, my parents love him,” Jamira tells us. “They think he is a good man and that he’s genuine and loving.”
“We love each other’s parents,” says Jamira. “We call and text each other’s parents all the time. We all claim each other as family already.”
“I knew he was going to propose because we had always talked about the direction that we were going in,” says Jamira. “I just never knew when it would happen!”
Jamirah and Charlie have been spotted having the time of their lives downtown.
“Charlie did a great job with the ring,” Jamira says. “Usually, I would be around for such decisions, but he made a great, great choice. I love it. It’s beautiful, it fits my hand and it’s what he gave me.”
“I’m looking forward to sharing the rest of my life with the gift God gave me that is Charlie,” says the bride-to-be. “I look forward to our future and enduring all things until the end, through the good and bad.”
The happy couple plan to go all out for their “For One Night Only” themed wedding day this June.
“It was her compassion toward me when I was facing some of the most difficult situations that I had to deal with in life that made me realize I was in love,” says Charlie. “She supported me and comforted me when I was afraid to ask for it.”
“If you’re spying on us on a Friday night, you’ll probably catch us cooking dinner together, laughing or reading pre-marital counseling books,” Jamira tells us.
Jamila and Charlie plan to honeymoon in Hawaii. Did you enjoy Jamira and Charlies shoot? Tell us why below! Email us if you’d like to see your engagement photos featured in Just Engaged.
