Adrienne, 28, a choreographer, and Roger, 30, a director, met 13 years ago as childhood friends in the youth choir. These days they’re lovers and friends who are headed down the aisle this summer. Their Harlem Renaissance themed engagement shoot is must-see. Share the love!
Adrienne describer her husband-to-be as being, “Spiritual, hot and hilarious.” Sounds like an amazing combination to us.
Since they were teenagers when they met, Adrienne says it wasn’t really love at first sight. “I didn’t play hard to get,” she says. “It was much more of a mutual denial of emotions, that continued for several years. We had amazing and unique chemistry, and quickly became best friends or as we like to call ourselves ‘boys.’”
Roger proposed to Adrienne in his home while her soon Jojo watched cartoons in the other room. “I thought he was going to break up with me,” she recalls. “He was so solemn, and just days before we had a conversation about how we would wait another two years before marriage. I guess he changed his mind!”
This happy couple has no problem showing their love for the cameras.
We love this shoot because it’s as sexy as it is romantic. Great job by R. See Photography!
“Roger bought me two rings,” says Adrienne. “The one he proposed with: A two ring pavé diamond set, with a pavé setting band, and a round stone solitaire radiance ring.” Lucky lady.
“When we’re finally husband and wife, I can’t wait to yell ‘Melvin Life’ with him and his seven siblings,” says Adrienne.
“I love that my future husband is my best friend and accepting of my crazy family,” she tells us.
Who would play Adrienne’s director future hubby in a flick about them? “Denzel Washington,” she says.
Adrienne and Roger will become husband and wife in the Delta’s Historic Grand Island Mansion in Walnut Grove, CA. Want to see your engagement photos featured on Just Engaged? Email us now!
