Former Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta star Amy Luciani brought her family business to social media over the weekend, and the situation sounds pretty bleak. The Internet and reality TV personality hurled some serious allegations at her husband, NBA player Dwight Howard, claiming it’s a last resort.

In an Instagram video posted to her page, Luciani tearfully claims Howard is struggling with substance abuse and Child Protective Services has removed his daughter from their home because of it.

“My marriage has landed me in a very dangerous position,” Luciani said in the video, which has since gone viral. “My stepdaughter was just taken by CPS because of her father. CPS, police have been here three times in less than three months, and I stood in it by my husband—even though I was scared for my own self. Whatever he wanted me to say, whatever it was—I’m thinking this is my husband.”

In the video, Luciani also claimed that she recorded Howard coaching his 12-year-old son to lie on her to conceal his drug use.

She also held up a large bag containing a white substance, crying while saying, “This is what I’m f–king losing my marriage to!”

The couple has been married since 2024. They wed a month after going public with their relationship. By 2025, she had filed for divorce, but she says people in her circle convinced her to keep fighting for her marriage. During the lengthy video, the entrepreneur explained why she stood by him with all that he has going on.

“I had everybody around me saying—even after I tried to divorce him the first time—everybody around me saying ‘You can’t leave your husband this soon. You said through sickness through health, you said through good or bad.’ That’s why I came back, but this has gone way too far,” she said. “It’s not even about me, it’s about the kids.”

Fans are currently praising Howard’s ex-girlfriend Royce Reed who he shares a son, Braylon, 17, with. Reed has been calling the athlete out over the years, and Luciani’s claims seemingly confirm her concerns. Of course, she didn’t skip out on the opportunity to have an “I told you so” moment.

“Who’s laughing? This is sad AF!” the former Basketball Wives star said on social media in response to claims she was mocking Luciani’s post by posting a video calling her out for ignoring warnings. “These kids should’ve never been in his custody and she knew that! Look at the past! She allowed it, she condoned it, she participated in it… Crying now because she caught him lying to her is selfish af!”

The eight-time NBA All-Star currently has five children with five different women, but shares none with Luciani. He hasn’t publicly commented on the drug use allegations or CPS claims, but was recently spotted seemingly having the time of his life on Fan Cam at an NBA game at the Crypto.com arena amid the controversy.
