Marco Borges Announces 4-Part Plant-Based Living Movement Designed to Change Your Life...and the Planet

Borges is asking you to join him, along with Beyoncé and JAY-Z on a movement created to change your life.
Big news this fall for plant-based meal enthusiasts looking for even more motivation to eat their way to their best lives. Exercise Physiologist, New York Times bestselling author, and CEO and Founder of 22 DAYS NUTRITION (co-owned with JAY-Z and Beyoncé), Marco Borges has announced the launch of The Greenprint, an inclusive plant-based movement designed to get you on track to healthier living. Borges’ program has touched millions and is well known and beloved by the celebrities whose lives and bodies it has helped to change, like The Carters, Pharell Williams and Sean Combs, to name a few. Borges The Greenprint movement is made up of four primary initiatives—a digital tool, book, documentary and clinical trial—all designed to help users combine a plant-based diet with healthier habit formation. Each aspect of The Greenprint, says Borges, will help to elevate awareness around the short and long-term benefits of plant-based living for individuals, their communities and the planet as a whole. On the digital front, The Greenprint Project is the program’s complementary web-based tool which helps users to understand the benefits through illustrated guides. And, as an added incentive for anyone in the Beyhive looking to make a change, loyal users could even win a chance to score Beyoncé and JAY-Z tickets for life. (Yes, for life!) The Carters are all-in to help you live a healthier more fulfilling life. “The information is hard to ignore,” said global entertainers, philanthropists, and entrepreneurs Beyonce and JAY-Z, in a statement about the new Greenprint movement. “The benefits of a single plant-based meal a day can have such a profound impact on our health and the environment…We want to challenge you as we challenge ourselves to move towards a more plant-based lifestyle and acknowledge you for standing up for your health and the health of the planet…We hope to see you on tour.” Borges’ new book component, The Greenprint: Plant-Based Diet, Best Body, Better World (Harmony Books), provides readers a solid plan for changing their relationship with food, complete with easy and delicious recipes, step-by-step advice and habit hacks, meal planning tips and success stories that will keep them focused and inspired. Borges insists it will change your perspective on food and your health. The book will be released on December 31, and can be pre-ordred here, just in time to make your holiday shopping list.

For those visual learners out there, The Greenprint documentary, to be released in fall 2019, Borges promises will more deeply explore the true impact of a plant-based diet on the individual, the family, the community, and the world. The documentary, which is executive produced by 51 Minds Entertainment, a division of Endemol Shine North America, Major TV, Borges, and JAY-Z , will feature testimonies from clients, celebrities and clinical experts. “Each of us have the ability of changing our lives, the lives of our families, the health of our communities, and the condition of our world by making one powerful and basic choice – deciding what is on the tip of our forks,” insists Borges. “Let’s define our own destiny. Let’s create our own Greenprint.” The clinical trial portion of Borges four-part program was conducted with 200 participants at New Jersey’s Holy Name Medical Center and was designed to explore and show how a plant-based diet could be used in preventive care. The participants were tested before and after a 22-day period, during which half of them participated in a plant-based diet plan,. Some of the most significant results included: BMI going down over 5x more and Body Fat reducing over 4x more on a Vegan than Vegetarian Diet.  Most importantly, LDL went down over 200% more and overall cholesterol reduced by over 400% on a Vegan than Vegetarian Diet.
