This March Walt Disney World hosted its 10th annual Disney Dreamers Academy with Steve Harvey and ESSENCE, a four-day mentoring program for 100 high school students.

The Disney Dreamers Academy Speakers Resource Group celebrated the dreamers who voted for awards by their fellow dreamers along with with Mickey Mouse and Executive Dreamer Tracey D. Powell.

The academy brought dreamers from each of the 10 years for the special event. Many students have gone on to greatness in every field.
Black History is American History. Bernard Kinsey and his family gave dreamers a tour of a portion of their family’s African American history collection on display at Epcot. The collection includes an original copy of Phillis Wheatley’s work, Benjamin Banneker’s Almanac and other items.

With the 10th event, the academy has officially served more than 100 students around the country bringing the dreamers and their parents to an all-expenses paid experience at Walt Disney World.
