Another one is off the market and this time it’s actress Bresha Webb. The 38-year-old Run the World star got married to writer Nick Jones Jr. in an “old Hollywood glam” themed wedding. The event was star-studded, from the performers to the wedding party.
Two of Webb’s bridesmaids included singer Kelly Rowland and actress Essence Atkins. Other celebs who appeared as bridesmaids include actress and comedian Angel Laketa Tanksley, as well as her Meet the Blacks co-star, Zulay Henao.
The bridesmaids wore silver and gray gowns accompanied by unique black bouquets. Long before the ceremony, Rowland also played an instrumental role in helping Jones choose Webb’s engagement ring.
In addition to having a few of our favorites in the wedding party, the newlywed also had a surprise visit from legendary singer Deborah Cox.
“DEBORAH COX! How did you get here?!” she wrote in an Instagram caption. “Thee @deborahcox serenaded me on the way to my wedding with my bridal party singing along. It was an impromptu beautiful moment that I’ll cherish forever. Thank you @deborahcox for making me feel so special on my day. Wow ❤️🙌🏽🙏🏾”
The couple also enjoyed a performance from crooner MAJOR, who sang his hit “This Is Why I Love You” as the bride walked down the aisle.
Webb and Jones first set eyes on each other back in 2016 at The Comedy Store. However, they were both dating someone at the time. They reconnected through TV personality Loni Love in 2020 during quarantine and hit it off. The two got engaged in the summer of 2021.
“It feels like an answered prayer,” Webb told PEOPLE of finding love with Jones. “Having a successful career, I started to doubt that my dream of marriage and family was ever going to come true. Now that I have a husband and now daughter, I trust God’s timing in everything. Because our love couldn’t have come at a more perfect time.”
Loni Love, who helped them reconnect, was present for the nuptials, as was Marlon Wayans, whom Webb worked with on his short-lived sitcom, Marlon. Actor Neil Brown Jr., known for playing Chad on Insecure, was one of Jones’s groomsmen.
Next on the agenda for the newlywed couple is a blissful honeymoon. They’re headed to Hawaii and staying at the Ritz-Carlton Maui, Kapalua.
