Jennifer Hudson hopes Winnie Mandela will see the upcoming biopic as a tribute to an outstanding life. While making a stop at the Cannes Film Festival, the Oscar winner spoke about the controversy surrounding the film. “For good reason, she would feel that way,” said Hudson, addressing Mrs. Mandela’s recent threat to file a lawsuit if she didn’t see the script. “But I don’t think she will be disappointed.” Hudson also spoke about having a “new-found respect” for the South African activist. “I definitely hope that she will be pleased.”
