Last night (June 13), the 2017 Crystal + Lucy Awards were a star studded night full of Black beauty. The event, hosted by Women In Film, honors women who champion for the presence of women in the entertainment industry.
This year’s show included appearances from Michelle Obama, Hillary Clinton, Senator Kamala Harris and Tracee Ellis Ross. She was honored with the Crystal Lucy Excellence in TV Award for her work in Black-ish.

Rocking pink and purple hues by Max Mara, the award recipient glowed with a dewy rose beat by Adam Breuchad and sported a fun head wrap styled by Marcia Hamilton.
Jessica was the host of this year’s event, bringing the laughs and plenty of style. She walked the red carpet in a jumbo milkmaid braid and a deep purple lip, which popped perfectly against her yellow ensemble.
The Black Panther actress rocked a bold makeup look, pairing her black smokey eye with a bright pink lip (Lancome’s Lip Crayon in 320). Lupita completed the look with a pineapple updo, crafted by her go-to sylist Vernon Francois.
The Dear White People star rocked a bare face with a coral lip that matched perfectly with her dress. Pulling the look together with a sleek bun, Logan looked classic but chic.
