Style twins TK Wonder and Cipriana Quann are known for their large and in-charge hair and unapologetically unique fashion sense. And last night, Wonder traded in one to go see a queen. The Baltimore-bred influencer and artist donned a headwrap to check out Lena Waithe and Melina Matsoukas’ new movie Queen & Slim, which debuts for the masses today.
While many of us look like we’re heading to a slumber party or an 18-hour flight when we go to the movies (comfort is king), that’s not the norm for a style queen. Yesterday, Wonder posted a photo on her Instagram of her movie theater attire. The model and singer wore snakeskin infinite boots with a matching headwrap, covering up her super famous natural ‘fro.
But even with her head-turning tresses covered, she was still a sight to see. We love her unique hair, but we also love to see her switch it up in the name of fashion. And while she’s worn hats and headpieces in the past, this is the first time all year we’ve seen her and have not seen her hair.
While she directly encouraged everyone to go see the movie, perhaps she’s also inspired the pajama wearers to get glammed up for the premiere. After all, Jodie Turner-Smith is royalty in this film. And when you’re going to see a queen you need to look your best.
