The fishtail braid is a sexy look that looks stunning on everyone and celebs have been taking turns rocking it out and about all summer long. The latest is the lovely Tia Mowry-Hardrict who is bringing in summer as stylish as ever. The guest star on FOX’s Rosewood got all dolled up for the summer celebration for children’s fashion brand Janie and Jack and rocked her long fishtail braid while donning a white sheer top and lace midi skirt by Diane von Furstenberg.

While the outfit is lovely, and we love seeing Cree bouncing around, we are more captivated by her fishtail braid. In a close-up in black and white, the beautiful Tia who opts for straighter styles shares a beautifully crafted braid by stylist Kendra Garvey. Excellent, and without a hair out of place, this is a look to recreate for any summer occasion. Tia added hair to the long braid and this look can be easily achieved.

All you need to do is divide your ponytail into two sections, and use fingers to separate a small section of hair from outer edge and cross it over the opposite side. The object is to keep overlapping just as in a regular braid. Make sure to regrip hair to tighten the braid while holding the two sections. Repeat the process with the small section from the other side. Continue to overlap pieces from both sides of the ponytail all the way down and be sure to pull small sections from underneath to cross over. Once you have finished, secure the ends and you can cut out the ponytail elastic if you like (Tia did not) before gently tugging on the braid with fingers to loosen for that effortless look.

We love it Tia!
