My Selfie Journey: Jamye Barnes

Jamye Barnes’ hair journey began three years ago when she separated from her ex-husband. The stress of the divorce caused tremendous hair. She finally big chopped and it was a pivotal moment for her. Through divorce, home renovation, new jobs, and learning how to date again she wore braids, wigs, coloring, bows, headbands, up do's and wash and goes. But most of all her hair taught her patience. Here is her journey.

I started my hair journey… In 2011. Going natural was one of the best things to ever happen to me, it taught me you cant bypass the process for the progress!

My biggest hair challenge is… diversifying hair styles in-between visits with my beautician. Hair is not my expertise!

I love my hair because… For the first time it has length and it has thickened up since going natural, I can wear a wash and go one day and get it pressed the next!

My hair crush is… Jill Scott, her styles are so versatile and she seems comfortable in short, long, straight or curly hair.
