If you haven’t seen the film BELLE yet, you’re in for a treat. In it, Gugu Mbatha-Raw plays Dido Elizabeth Belle, a mixed daughter of a Royal Navy Admiral, who is raised by her great-uncle Lord Mansfield (Tom Wilkinson). Based on the true story, the film highlights Dido’s struggles of fitting into a white society with darker skin.
