Simone Missick is beauty and brains personified. Since making her debut on Luke Cage, we’ve quickly become enamored with the actress, who brings much needed flavor to the Marvel universe as Misty Knight. Like a lot of her castmates, the beautiful star frequently interacts with her fans on social media, revealing tidbits about her life that we can totally relate to. And as of late, hair has been a major topic. Earlier this week, we noticed a fan ask the same question that’s been on all of our minds:

@SimoneMissick girl your twistout was poppin in every #LukeCage episode. What products do you use? 👀👀

— Danaé (@danaetaylorgang) October 18, 2016
And much to everyone’s delight, Missick spilled the tea, listing Carol’s Daughter as a go-to for her glorious mane.

@danaetaylorgang @carolsdaughter sulfate free poo and conditioner, LOC with JBCO and @Miss_Jessies baby buttercreme for that twist out😆💁🏽

We’re constantly on the hunt for ways to take our hair game to the next level and Missick’s quick tips definitely qualify. Subscribe to our daily newsletter for the latest in hair, beauty, style and celebrity news. Shop her suggestions below: Miss Jessie’s Baby Buttercreme ($32, target.com) is super hydrating and can be used to create a wide variety of hairstyles, including cornrows, braids and twistouts. There are countless brands that utilize Jamaican black castor oil, but we’re partial to Shea Moisture’s Butter ($10, target.com), which will make your hair soft to the touch while promoting growth. Of all the Carol’s Daughter sulfate free poos and conditioners, we’re most impressed with the Tiare Sulfate-Free Shampoo ($9, carolsdaughter.com) because it’s heavy in protein, thanks to a gang of eco-friendly ingredients like the tiare gardenia flower.
