This platinum is so brilliant and avant garde, it might need a new name.

If you’ve ever gone blond then you know the work and effort that it takes to keep up your color while maintaining your hair’s health. Eva Marcille is clearly not intimidated by this as she showed that she’s up for the challenge with her platinum do.

On Thursday, The Real Housewives of Atlanta star hit the red carpet at Essence’s Black Women In Hollywood awards luncheon with strands freshly lightened to a stark white that only a top model can pull off if no one else. She also paired the style perfectly with deeply lined eyes and rosy cheekbones.

It’s been a few weeks since the beauty went all the way platinum with her pixie, and just three days ago she shared a photo on Instagram with her light tresses poking from underneath her hoodie. But this new color is seemingly more brilliant. It’s so avant garde that we hardly know what to call it. Marshmallow? Platinum’s platinum? Eva blond?

Either way, we are calling it a red carpet standout. We’re loving this color with this cut. And we love that Eva constantly reminds us that she can pull of any hair she wants, like the melanin-rich hair chameleon she is.
