We still have a few more weeks until Issa Rae returns to the small screen, but in the meantime, she’s blessing us with yet another red carpet slay.
Last night (June 25), the Insecure actress, writer and producer stepped out for the 2017 BET Awards and as expected, delivered nothing less than excellence in the beauty department.
Dressed in a bright and beautiful Balmain open-knit blazer, fitted black shorts and strappy sandals, Rae paired her fashion with a jumbo braid styled by her go-to guru, Felicia Leatherwood. Two cornrows accented with beads above each ear took this protective style to the next level and made it one of the night’s most unique looks.
Issa’s color blocked makeup consisted of blue shadow under the waterline, magenta lipstick and a touch of gold shimmer on the eyelids. She’s never shied away from pushing the beauty envelope and if this red carpet look is any indication, we’ve plenty of other summer fresh makeup moments coming our way.
