Twitter was lit this weekend when the #BlackHairChallenge hashtag started to trend.
It all started when the ladies over at the Melanin Mamis account (@melaninmamis), “a judgement free platform where women can feel empowered, vulnerable, and celebrated”, put out the challenge for black women to show off the versatility of their hair in four pics.
And those who participated did not come to play!
From ‘fros to locs, braids to perms, it is clear that the flexbility of our hair, and the skill it takes to produce a lot of these ‘dos, are truly #blackgirlmagic! Here are some of our favorites:
