We think about this when we go to apply a hot tool to our tresses, but tend to overlook this even though our hair spends days upon days in the blazing sun during the summer. We don’t forget about that all-important holding spray for styling, but we also need that product to protect against sun and heat damage. That New Orleans heat will be no joke during Essence Festival, and not everyone wants to wear braids or another protective style.
