Star Gazing: 98th Academy Awards, SXSW 2026, MACRO Pre-Oscars Party, Serena Williams, Chase Infiniti, And More

The past week brought together some of the biggest names in entertainment, sports, and culture as awards season and festival appearances kept the spotlight firmly on Hollywood and beyond.
At the 98th Academy Awards, held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, the cast and creative team behind Sinners took center stage throughout the night. Director Ryan Coogler accepted the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay, while Michael B. Jordan celebrated a major career milestone with his win for Best Actor. Cinematographer Autumn Durald Arkapaw also made history with her Best Cinematography victory. The ceremony also featured a standout performance from Miles Caton, joined onstage by Jayme Lawson, adding another memorable moment to the evening.
Elsewhere, the SXSW Conference and Festival in Austin drew its own share of star power. Serena Williams took part in a panel conversation, while Dwyane Wade attended the premiere of the documentary The Dads. The city also welcomed the cast of I Love Boosters, with LaKeith Stanfield, Keke Palmer, Boots Riley, and Naomi Ackie sharing laughs on the red carpet.
In Los Angeles, the MACRO Pre-Oscars Party gathered Erykah Badu, Aldis Hodge, Chloe Bailey, and Tia Mowry among others, while the TIME Women of the Year events welcomed Sheryl Lee Ralph, Queen Latifah, and Jordan Chiles.
