It's Fashion Week and the ESSENCE Beauty Squad is front and center getting the scoop on the latest trends.  Take a look at the hottest hair trends right from the runway.

The disco-inspired collection at Reem Acra called for big, voluminous hair reminscent of the memorable looks of the ‘70s.

The Naeem Khan collection was all about flirty, feminine fashion with delicate accents.  This braided hairstyle fit for a princess was just the right look for this girly-girl aesthetic.

Old Hollywood glamour was the inspiration for hair at Badgley Mischka.  The hair was styled into a faux bob by tucking and pinning the hair at the nape and chin.  A chic side part allowed for chunky waves along the hairline

At Donna Karan, hair was simple, sleek and chic.  In order to emphasize the dramatic makeup, the hair was pulled back from the face in an elegant half up/half down hairstyle.  A metal barrette accessorizes the look.

At Ann Yee, models worked the runway in this half-n-half look, complete with tiny accent braids on both sides and long, bone straight strands in the back.

At the Lela Rose runway show, models' wore styles brushed back with a center part and swept into a low, unstructured chignon.

To compliment the futuristic fashion seen at Espion Atelier, models sported sky-high topknots with a mixture of textured and bone straight.

The look at Tadashi Shoji was all about effortless cool.  Models worked the runway in unstructured curls that gently swept past shoulder-length. There was also a deep side part, a major trend at the shows this season.

Hairstylists for Dark and Lovely created this voluminous look at Kimberly Goldson.  To achieve this massive mane, hair was set on rods, let loose and teased to perfection.

A classic low ponytail never goes out of style.  At Alexander Wang, this simple look was acheived with a deep center part and high-shine strands which put all the attention on the models' dramatic makeup.
