“I believe a woman’s sexiest qualities are her sense of humor and relationship with God,” says heartthrob Ian Buchanan II, 33, who is a Tennesse-based fitness coach, youth pastor and total southern gentleman. Ladies, you’re going to fall in love!
“I believe a woman’s sexiest qualities are her sense of humor, relationship with God, intellect, ability to converse, spontaneity and caring for others,” says Buchanan. We couldn’t agree more!
“Honestly, to impress a woman, I’d simply be myself,” says Buchanan. “If being sincere isn’t good enough, then we weren’t meant to be.”
Even in black and white Buchanan has us seeing colors of love!
Buchanan is fit for days, ladies. We give those gorgeous abs an A+.
“I don’t think anyone can be a ‘perfect catch,’ and I definitely laugh at the notion that I would be one, but one of the things that makes me a suitable catch is the fact that I’m willing to change for the positive and the needs of my significant other are always held in high regard,” he reveals. We’ll take that answer. (Wink!)
“I can cook and love to cook,” Buchanan admits. “I’ve done entire Thanksgiving and Father’s Day dinners, so at the risk of sounding overconfident here, I can pretty much cook anything (or follow directions to cook anything). My focus is usually health oriented, however. My favorite dish to cook is turkey meatloaf stuffed with spinach.”
Buchanan admits that he’s a sapiosexual. “I’m attracted to educated women with a good sense of humor,” he adds. “Good looks come a dime a dozen, but when a woman has more than a pretty face and a small waist, she’s on that superstar status.”
“On a typical Friday night you’d see me going to a movie and trying a restaurant I’ve never visited before,” says Buchanan.

“My perfect date would begin at a local airport where we’d purchase tickets to a city within a couple of hours commute,” Buchanan shares. “After landing we’d visit a local restaurant followed by sightseeing, then catch a comedy show or play. Prior to heading back, we’d visit another local restaurant. This outing would provide us with plenty of time to talk, as well as add new experiences to the list.”

“Taiwan is by far the coolest place I’ve visited,” says Buchanan. “My grandfather is Asian so I’ve always desired to spend time in Asia. I honestly fell in love with the culture. The food, the people and the architecture have me looking forward to my next visit.”

“I’m a big movie buff and foodie,” says Buchanan. “I seriously thought Siskel & Ebert had the best jobs growing up. They got paid to watch movies. My favorite all-time movie is Coming to America, so if anybody shares in my love for Eddie Murphy’s finest film, we’re automatically friends.”

“In my spare time I also love to watch The Food Network,” says Buchanan. “Restaurant Impossible is one of my favorite shows. Whenever I travel, I like to visit some of the restaurants Robert Irvine has helped.”

“Now that I’m a little older and wiser, I can’t help but laugh at the younger guys who spend hours in the gym and try the off-the-wall exercises to get their desired body,” says Buchanan. “My secret, so to speak, is the revelation of proper nutrition. I eat six meals a day regularly, three hours apart and have a balance of carbs, protein and fats. My diet has literally cut my gym time in half.”

“Quitting my teaching job to open my business was the bravest thing I’ve ever done,” says Buchanan. “Although my teacher paycheck wasn’t that much, it took a lot of faith giving up a consistent income to become an entrepreneur.”
“Friendship is essential to the soul,” says Buchanan. “Life’s hard and even harder without the proper support system. It’s important to surround yourself with the right friends. Friends that’ll laugh with you, turn up when desired, but also call you out on all your mess.”
