Designer Tracy Reese was overjoyed to see the First Lady in the fabulous frock she customized especially for the DNC's opening night in Charlotte, North Carolina. "In the midst of spring 2013 preparations, seeing the First Lady in one of my designs was a truly extraordinary moment. She evokes so much confidence, strength and humility. I am so proud she chose to wear our dress," said Reese. Mrs. O wore the pink silk damask dress gracefully with a matching pair of J.Crew pumps—a stylish way to kick-off the convention.

The day before, Michelle Obama rehearsed in an ensemble just as gorgeous. She sported iconic American designer Diane von Furstenberg's graphic lime and mink "Porsha" dress with black and white cap-toe pumps.
