Atlantic City Judge Michael A. Donio has dismissed domestic violence charges against former Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice Thursday morning, reports NBC News. According to Donio, Rice successfully completed a per-trial intervention program for first time offenders. Rice was charged with domestic violence after elevator surveillance video surfaced showing him knocking his then fiancée unconscious last year. [NBC]

We're wishing ESSENCE Fest Alum August Alsina a speedy recovery as he battles an eye disease that's rendering him blind. 

"I'm blind in my left eye and losing vision in my right," he wrote on an Instagram photo of him receiving laser eye treatments. "A lot of things are so natural to us in life we take it for granted. Thank God the OG for allowing me to see the good, the bad, the ugly, I'm just glad to see."

Former model Janice Dickinson is suing Bill Cosby for defamation claiming he caused her to suffer personally and professionally when he “publicly branded her a liar” after she said late last year that he raped her 30 years ago. Dickinson cites emotional distress, loss of reputation and loss of business after Cosby’s attorney released a statement saying her accusations of rape were a lie. [Deadline]
