In a step toward justice, the South Carolina Senate voted 37-3 yesterday to remove the Confederate Flag from Capitol grounds. The push to remove the flag had been gaining momentum in the weeks after Dylann Roof massacred nine church members at Emanuel AME Church in Charleston. Two weeks ago, civil rights activist Bree Newsome was arrested after climbing the flagpole and removing the flag herself. [NBC News]

Do we smell a celeb feud brewing? Two years after Miguel dissed Frank Ocean at the Grammys for winning Best Urban Contemporary Album (Miguel refused to stand up when Frank's name was announced), the Wildheart singer has fired shots once again. "I would say we were friends," Miguel said of Ocean to The Sunday Times. "To be completely honest—and no disrespect to anyone—I genuinely believe that I make better music, all the way around." Frank, we'll be waiting for you to clap back! [Entertainment Weekly]
