Janice Ebie and Dami Koleowo found everything the were looking for in each other. The two wed in a big, fabulous bash at the Marriott Houston Westchase on October 10, 2009. Share their love.

Janice’s hair was styled by Tokini from Lyzadora Beauty Consultants in Houston her make up look was created by Makeup By T.

“I just wanted something a little bit natural looking that would enhance my own beauty,” Janice says.

Janice’s bridal bouquet ties the lighter green tone into her wedding colors flawlessly.

Janice’s 10 bridesmaids wore pale champagne gowns with green sashes while her maid of honor wore a green gown with a lighter sash.

On the wedding day, Dami delivered a different card to each of Janice’s bridesmaids. Each card read one quality that he loved about his wife-to-be. “Basically it was poem that he had them read. I’ve never met anybody as creative as him,” Janice gushed.

“I didn’t sleep the night before my wedding,” Janice admits. “I was scared and shy and nervous all at the same time. I was thinking, ‘Oh my gosh! This day is really happening!.’”

Dami looks absolutely smashing in a gray suit with white vest, tie and handkerchief.

“Dami was involved in every aspect of the wedding,” Janice reveals. “I was like, ‘This is why I fell in love with you.’ We planned the entire wedding together.”

Dami had all of his boys from college and Janice’s little brother standing beside him on his wedding day.

Janice found her vintage-styled gown from the Alfred Angelo bridal boutique.

“I love the way it looked on my back and I loved he detachable sleeves.”

Janice used pearls that her mother gave her to complete her vintage-inspired bridal look.

The bride rocked Jimmy Choo strappy sandals down the aisle.

Janice’s father passed away while she was planning her wedding. Her older brother, Timothy, took on the responsibility of walking her down the aisle.

“It was hard to do it without my dad, but it was fun,” Janice told us. “In the limo, my brother he told me ’I’m really proud of you and you look beautiful.”

Dami was so excited to be married to Janice he threw up a fist pump.

Dami told Janice he fell in love with her ability to meet him half way. “He says that I had a teachable spirit,” Janice told us. “I was open to listen, open to change and open to compromise.”

After they finished with the ceremony, Dami whispered to his new wife, “We’re just going to enjoy this day and it’s going to be about you and me.”

The newlyweds share a sweet kissing session in the back seat of their limo after saying “I do.”

Janice and Dami needed a venue that would accommodate their many guests and allow them to use an outside caterer, as they wanted to serve Nigerian food. In the end, the Marriott Houston Westchase had it all.

For part of the wedding reception, the newly weds dressed in traditional Nigerian attire, provided by the groom’s parents.

Janice raved about pastry chef Nadine from Who Made the Cake, who baked her wedding cake. “I absolutely love her. I wanted something different and she created the hexagon look that I wanted. I also ordered the initial from her. She’s the best!”

At the wedding reception, Dami presented his wife with a NY Yankees cap as the sound of Jay-Z’s “New York” played in the background, welcoming Janice to his neck of the woods.

“We’ve always had those tough discussions about finance and religion,” Janice says of preparing for marriage. “That is one of the things that’s helped us grow.”

The couple swayed to “At Last” by Etta James for their first dance as husband and wife.

“We’re building a team,” The new wife says. “We’re looking forward to being a back up for each other.”

“That was one of the best days of my life,” Janice sighs.

After the wedding, Janice moved from Texas to New Jersey to be with her husband. The couple took a fun, relaxing road trip to get closer together as they headed up north.

“It’s just me and him now,” Janice says. “We are bonding and enjoying each other’s company.”
