Nekpen Osuan is a seasoned business development professional, entrepreneur and certified Project Manager (PMP). A 2018 92Y Woman in Power Fellow, 2018 LEE Public Leadership Fellow, 2017 Baylor University Black Alumni of the Year, and 2017 Council of Urban Professionals Fellow, Nekpen is an Adjunct Professor at NYU and the Head of User Experience for The Black Women’s Guide.
Nekpen is passionate about women’s economic empowerment and is the CEO and Co-Founder of WomenWerk (@WomenWerk)/ WomenWerk is a women’s empowerment non-profit founded in 2013 and has reached over 5000 women and girls. In addition to her work for the startup The Black Women’s Guide, Nekpen serves at the US Brand Ambassador for the Nigeria-based shoe brand Keexs Global (@KeexsTribe). Nekpen’s most notable speaking engagements have led her to speak at The White House, The United States Military Academy at West Point, The National Urban League,The National Association of Black Journalists, Harvard University, The Wharton Business School, Columbia University and Baylor University.
