The 2018 ESSENCE Festival line up is filled with an endless number of superstar artists who can certainly hold down any stage on their own, but there are also a few performers on the bill who have teamed up to create songs...or live moments.....that we still get excited about to this day.

ESSENCE Festival 2018 ticket packages are on sale now! For more info and the latest news, visit our Festival page HERE.

From new favorites like "Best Part" by Daniel Caesar featuring H.E.R, to timeless classics like "You Got Me" by The Roots featuring Erykah Badu, these songs gave us the best of both words and then some. Scroll through for a look at a few collabs you might get to see live at this year's ESSENCE Fest and then be sure to grab your tickets HERE to join us in NOLA this July.

Janet Jackson featuring Blackstreet - I Get Lonely (Remix)
Superproducer Teddy Riley reminded us all why he's a solidified hitmaker both on the mic and behind the scenes as co-producer of this remix that took the already-lit original version of the song to the next level.

Daniel Ceasar + H.E.R. - Best Part
When two of today's most talented young R&B voices collide, magic is bound to happen and it certainly did for this increasingly popular track.

The Roots Featuring Erykah Badu & Jill Scott - You Got Me
The original version of this song was an instant classic, so when Jill Scott joined the mix for a live performance of it at Dave Chapelle's epic Block Party, it was a wrap.

Janet Jackson featuring MC Lyte - You Want This
The music video for this summertime anthem was almost more fun than the actual song, especially when Janet brought Hip Hop icon aboard.

Erykah Badu feat. Questlove - Other Side Of The Game
Basically, anything that involves any part of the Roots AND Ms. Badu is music gold and such was the case with this collaboration, which hears Questlove provide the perfect drumbeat to accompany Erykah's signature sound.
