When Queens Link Up: Mary J. Blige Announces Strength Of A Woman World Tour With Lalah Hathaway

The first lady of Hip Hop soul is kicking off her highly-anticipated tour at the 2017 ESSENCE Festival and you won't want to miss it!

Mary J. Blige has been making rounds to promote her new album, Strength of A Woman, and simultaneously open up about splitting from her husband after 13 years of marriage and now she’s taking her show on the road.

Her album carries themes of love, heartbreak and hidden strength and the 2017 ESSENCE Festival performer is bringing all of that plus more to stages around the world with a little help from fellow Festival artist Lalah Hathaway. Mary took to social media with a trailer in support of the tour announcement on Monday morning as you might imagine, fans are elated.

The tour will kick off with Mary’s star-studded ladies night at ESSENCE Fest on Saturday, July 1 and close out in San Francisco early September. Additional locations on the official list of tour dates include Chicago, Atlanta, Miami, Dallas, Vegas and two dates in New York City — including a show at the infamous Madison Square Garden.
