The actor revealed he's a superfan of the R&B group.
If there was ever any question on whether Lance Gross was a true depiction of male melanin perfection, his weekend at ESSENCE Festival 2017 proves that he definitely is. Though he is known as a talented actor, photographer, and model, fans may be able to add singer to his impressive resume soon.
Stopping by the press room on Sunday afternoon to discuss his upcoming TV One film When Love Kills, Gross also revealed that he’s interested in doing a biopic next and playing a member of Jodeci is one of his top picks.
“That’s my favorite group, so if I could be involved in that in some way, I would love it,” he said. When asked if he had the vocals to match, he told ESSENCE, “Absolutely…not. I would be lip syncing, but I would be the best lip syncer that you’ve ever seen on T.V.”
Though not much has been said about the Jodeci biopic since Mr. Dalvin revealed that it was in the works back in February, knowing that Gross would be on board to make the ladies swoon is enough to get the excitement stirring again.
What do you think ladies? Does the heavenly heartthrob have what it takes to portray K-Ci, JoJo, Mr. Dalvin, or DeVante Swing?
