It’s not often we get to hear new material from Ms. Lauryn Hill, so imagine how excited we were to hear her covering a Nina Simone classic! Hill covers Feeling Good for a tribute album to Nina Simone titled, Nina Revisited: A Tribute to Nina Simone meant to accompany the release of the upcoming biopic about Simone’s life (aptly titled What Happened, Miss Simone? ) which will premiere on Netflix June 26th.
The tribute album (due July 10th) will feature 6 covers from Ms. Hill herself including covers from #EssenceFest performers, Usher, Mary J. Blige, Common, Lalah Hathaway, Jazmine Sullivan and #EssenceFest alum, Alice Smith.
