Getting your Trinity Audio player ready…

Earlier this month, 23-year-old Atlanta artist Yung Baby Tate released her single titled, “Camp.” “I was really inspired by the Met Gala this year. When I saw the theme, I looked it up,” she told ESSENCE. “I was like, “oh my gosh,” I love it, this is me, I want to do this.”

If you’re still not familiar with Yung Baby Tate, she’s most known for her viral hit “Bob,” nominated for a 2019 Grammy and carries her color blocking style wherever she goes. Posing in an avant-garde dress on her “Camp” single cover, Tate has used that inspiration for her 7 project EP.

“If it’s a big festival or show, I’ll reach out to a stylist or a designer to make something custom or to just put a look together for me. And then sometimes, I’ll just run around and find a look for myself.”
