We can remember the days when Solange Knowles was a background dancer for her big sister Beyonce, but now she’s dancing to the beat of her own drum — literally, as a solo artist and DJ. If that isn’t enough, her recent signing with agency NEXT Model Management makes her an official queen of the catwalk.

Solange is no stranger to the modeling world, having graced ad campaigns for Armani Jeans, House of Dereon and Rimmell, but working the runway at the Alberta Ferretti show during Milan Fashion Week was taking things to the next level.
