As more women across the country begin to embrace their natural textures, local support groups and meetups have created comfort zones for those struggling to answer the question, “What do I do with my hair?”
One such group is the Darker than Brown community based in New York City. With over 2,200 members on its Meetup website and Facebook page, these ladies have taken their online bonds and turned them into real-life curly connections. Last week, the ladies hosted a chic dinner party in New York City to swap hair secrets, product recommendations and simply just unwind in the midst of good company.
