While every fashion darling anticipates the Pyer Moss show this Sunday, the brand has been rolling out promotional videos counting down the days until the big return. Yesterday, Kerby-Jean Raymond, founder of Pyer Moss, released his collaborator for Collection 3, Richard Phillips.

“A few years ago, I saw Richard Phillips’ story on the news. He had been exonerated after spending 45 years in jail for a crime he did not commit,” Raymond said. “Evidence was withheld in order to derail him. As with most shit I see on the news, this broke my heart.” The designer went on to explain how the two met, and that Phillips’s work will be shown at this Sunday’s show.

This return of Pyer Moss at NYFW is not the only thing the Raymond is celebrating, the creator was recently inducted into the CFDA Board of Directors by the Chairman, Tom Ford. Notable designers like Carly Cushnie and Virgil Abloh, were also inducted.
