This August, ESSENCE and The Home Depot hosted the “All in the Details” contest for a chance to win a living room makeover from celebrity interior designer, Robin Wilson with Home Depot products.
Lucky winner Tashina Benymon won a living room makeover for her Ashburn, Virginia home outfitted with goodies from The Home Depot.
Tashina’s living room had an open floor plan that included a dining room and an outdoor space.
Tashina, new mom to son Ayden, wanted a functional, bohemian-style living room that’s safe for her son.
Robin and team used low-VOC BEHR Premium Plus Ultra Paint in Elephant Skin to create richly colored accent walls in Tashina’s living room. Robin created a play area for Ayden with a Spiral Mosaic rug for a pop of color and a White storage bench with seat to hold his mom and his toys while he plays!
A Keys Console table added more functionality to the room and gave Tashina a space to bring in additional décor and lighting. Non-slip rug pads and new baby-dates also made the living room safe for baby Ayden.
Tashina’s living room was transformed with a couple of upgrades. An Ink Swirl Cocoa area Rug, A Kelman Oak 5-Shelf Bookcase and Walnut coffee table brought tied together the rich colors of the room together.
Flirt Decorative pillows and Decorative Transit Wall Plaques were used to draw the eye in. Non-slip rug pads and new baby-gates also made the living room inviting but safe for baby Ayden.
Robin used Moroccan Geo River Mist curtains with new fixtures for her windows. Lastly, Robin added a 3-piece Black Floor Table and Lamp set to brighten up the room with light touches.
