Nike’s new Stranger Things collaboration evokes the nostalgic feels of the summer of 1985, in Hawkins, Indiana. The collection features innovative details that celebrate the show’s main characters as they navigate high school while grappling with love, friendship and looming danger.
The Nike x Stranger Things drop stays true to the ’80s athleisure vibe while highlighting some of the brand’s most most popular styles from the era including the Cortez, Blazer and Tailwind.
Beyond the show being set in 1985, the year was also a pivotal one for Nike, with the brand debuting Visible Air, which later became the Air Max I. This was also the year that Nike’s legendary Dunk sneakers became popularized by a slew of basketball players who wore them on the court.
Aside from the sneakers, the collaboration also features a capsule collection of Hawkins High and Tiger Mascot apparel, all channeling 1980’s phys-ed class style.
