What: Mrs. O’s J. Mendel Resort 2013 embroidered cap-sleeve top, pleated skirt and metallic silver kitten heels.

Where: Buckingham Palace reception for the Heads of State and Government attending the Olympics Opening Ceremony in London.

Why: The First Lady showed up like royalty in her metallic and white ensemble. A closer look revealed beautiful silver beading over a sharply tailored top with extended side panels by J. Mendel.

Mrs. O added her feminine flair by pairing the top (originally worn with pants on the model) with a lovely chiffon pleated skirt by the same designer and lustrous Manolo Blahnik kitten heels.

Now that’s the way to open a ceremony!
