New York Fashion Week is in full swing, and so are the emerging trends which get stronger and stronger with each show. Nearly two dozen new designers showed yesterday, our favorites among them being Byron Lars, Jason Wu and Nicole Miller. These three designers led the way in displaying yesterdays strongest trends:  menswear, bold prints and fur accents. Designers like Wu and Ruffian paid homage to menswear with tuxedo style jackets, elegant pants and blouses which echoed mens’ button down shirts. Over at Rag & Bone and Nicole Miller, prints ruled the runway with pretty plaids and bold geometric prints. But the trend that continues to dominate in day two? Fur! No one has shown a full on fur yet, but designers have flirted with it: adding fur trims to the bottom of coats and hints of fur on asymmetrical sweaters and wraps. What’s next in day three? We are predicting more ruffles, leather and sheer prints. Check back tomorrow to see.
