9 Over-The-Top Pieces That'll Help You Channel the MET Gala's "Camp" Theme

Go bold or go home.

It’s the first Monday in May which means it’s time to tune in as our favorite celebs bend fashion boundaries at the annual MET Gala hosted by the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

This year, fashion’s highest court will be decked out in designs reserved only for the boldest, most fearless, show-stoppers among us.

The theme, “Camp: Notes on Fashion” is an over-the-top, outrageous, “more is more” ode to the times. Drawing inspiration from Susan Sontag’s 1964 essay, Notes on “Camp”, the phrase is defined as a “love of the unnatural, of artifice and exaggeration.” In other words, it’s the art of doing the absolute most.

In honor of fashion’s most important day, we’re delivering wild, head-turning, extreme looks that’ll help you channel the theme.
