When Idris Elba announced his marriage, much of the world cried out in agony. If we’re being honest, when it was revealed that Elba was dating, his now-wife, Sabrina Dhowre, many of us began the mourning process.
ESSENCE was invited to London to interview Idris Elba, amongst other stars of “Hobbs & Shaw.” We asked him how he plays the villain role with so much heart, if Hollywood is now giving us representation and more.
But perhaps the most important question asked of Elba was about his marriage. We wanted to know what type of husband he is and if his wife taught him anything. Elba said, “I think I learned that I do have patience. It’s really key in marriage.”
